Solid-state lasers, especially semiconductor lasers, have made considerable progress. The gross domestic product of laser processing in 2017 was 43 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30%. China's laser installed capacity accounts for 45% of the global total. It is expected to increase by at least 50% in 2018. The high-power cutting machine has reached 15,000 watts and the welding machine has reached 20,000 watts. It has taken a seat in the international market in deep ultraviolet laser technology, additive manufacturing and some other fields, some of which are in the forefront. The role of infrared technology in the dual use of military and civilian is more and more important, especially in the field of imaging and detection of big data, green health care, etc. It has broad prospects for development and application, and it is of great use in civil-military integration.

The Secretary-General of the Quantum Electronics and Optoelectronics Branch of the China Electronics Association, Jiang Dongsheng, said in his speech: Members representing the Quantum Electronics Branch welcome representatives from all walks of life to attend the meeting. The organizer, Prof. Xu Tiefeng, Vice President of Ningbo University, gave a detailed introduction to delegates. The development history and recent development of Ningbo University, on behalf of the school leaders, expressed warm welcome to the representatives.

The current National Optoelectronics Technology and Industrial Development Forum provided a good exchange platform for domestic counterparts in the infrared field. The conference held a one-day academic report exchange activity. The conference report was mainly divided into "infrared detection technology" and "infrared advanced materials." Preparation technology: two topics: The first theme venue was hosted by Prof. Yu Lin and Prof. Gu Li. Academician Zhou Shouqi made a report entitled “LiDAR Based on Quantum Effect”. Academician Zhou first introduced the technology of laser radar in China. The development process, combined with research progress at home and abroad, describes the advantages of quantum effects in laser radar technology. Professor Zhao Jianzhong of North China Institute of Optoelectronic Technology, Mr. Pang Huimin, Chairman of Zhejiang Dali Technology, and Wang Hongchen, General Manager of Arrow Electronics Co., Ltd. made reports on the theme of “Infrared Imaging Technology”, which fully introduced uncooled infrared imaging technology at home and abroad. Research progress and challenges. A representative of Prof. Mei Xuesong from Xi'an Jiaotong University made a report titled "Ultrafast Laser Micro-precision Machining Technology and Its Application". The report focused on femtosecond laser processing technology and introduced the research progress of its own laboratory to introduce the femtosecond processing technology in defense. Civilian and other fields have advantages and prospects. Professor Dai Shixun of Ningbo University made a report titled "Progress of Sulfur Photonic Devices", which detailedly introduced the performance advantages and application fields of chalcogenide glass, and the use of sulfur-based photonic devices in mid-infrared supercontinuum light sources and mid-infrared Raman fiber lasers. , flexible integrated optical waveguide devices and other areas of the latest research progress.
